In web hosting, many businesses now rely on cloud hosting. In practice, the cloud is a set of computers connected to one another over a network.
Cloud hosting lets businesses and work groups store all kinds of useful data and documents, which they can easily access from a computer with a simple internet connection. The benefits of cloud hosting are as follows:
- Lower costs through shared services
- No upfront investment or installation required
- Easy access to documents from any internet-connected device
- Data sharing
- Advice, maintenance, security and data updates handled by the provider
- Fast recovery after a disaster, and data protection
- Budget benefits, with a simple subscription
Launched by Amazon in 2006, AWS (Amazon Web Services) is a cloud services platform offering 50 services across categories such as analytics, application integration, compute, business applications, AWS cost management, game tech, media services, storage…
AWS is therefore a provider of innovative cloud solutions that help businesses optimise their cloud hosting and their costs. These solutions are used today by millions of companies worldwide, including Spotify, Yelp and Airbnb.

Public cloud hosting solution
Are you familiar with cloud computing? It is simply a very convenient way to store, share and access data without using your own computer’s storage space. There are many cloud computing offerings, sometimes with significant differences, particularly in terms of data protection. There are, however, two main forms of cloud computing: the public cloud and the private cloud. This article focuses on the first.
Private cloud hosting solution
Put simply, a private cloud is internet sharing restricted to a defined group. Looking a little closer, a private cloud is above all a set of services that govern, via the internet or an intranet, all document sharing accessible to a limited number of users. It comes in two formats: IaaS private cloud and PaaS private cloud. We look at this in particular in terms of business use, because you probably use a private cloud every day without even realising it.
